Assistant Manager Revenue

Job Purpose:

The role encompasses all aspects of Revenue and Reservations; including pricing, demand analysis, yield management, business mix optimization, selling strategies, and the creation and implementation of sales strategies and tactics to maximize rooms’ revenue.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports for a portfolio of about 30 individual properties within the timeline agreed in SLAs with the Revenue Management team
•    Participate in strategy meetings and help set departmental targets to grow the business through proactive selling and effective conversion of all enquiries
•    Proactively manage Q APARTMENTS’s inventory on an hourly and daily basis to ensure maximum occupancy levels are achieved.
•    Proactively highlight any unusual pattern or change in trends and provide analytical support to the Head of Revenue to investigate and conduct detailed analysis; if required support the preparation of individual hotel business reviews (reviewing hotel strategy for the next 12 months)
•    To optimise the base rates based on, occupancy levels, London/Sao Paulo events, and seasonal demand, so that we optimise rates through our Online Travel Agents (OTAs), GDS and our website to maximize revenue
•    Online Travel Agencies Extranet Management and Account Relationship Management
•    Signing up with new OTA’s 
•    Oversee the distribution of all corporate rates through the GDS
•    On boarding new properties on GDS and negotiating the rates 
•    Oversee the assessment and evaluation of the company’s competition
•    Provide analysis of guest preferences as well as economic variables affecting supply and demand or price elasticity in order to develop accurate operational and financial forecasts
•    Review and put suggestions forward for improvements and enhancements to the allocation procedure
•    To monitor the revenue recovered from no-shows and late cancellations
•    Assist the revenue team in achieving maximum room rate, yield and conversions
•    Monitor occupancy, overbooking, tracking of promotional offers, denials, rate and inventory control
•    To participate in the preparation of the annual budget and revenue plan
•    Liaise with Head of Sales regarding short, mid and long term rate strategies

Experience & Qualifications:

•    You will have experience with loading rates onto the GDS, PMS, Siteminder, hotel websites and within the usual OTA channels. You will be comfortable with all tactics, processes and procedures involved in this
•    Participate in business events where appropriate and be flexible as to location and hours where customer events dictate
•    Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a supervisors or management role in a Reservations/Revenue department of a serviced apartments or hotel business
•    Good innovation and creativity skills as well as revenue forecasting, pricing, and profitability optimization skills

Location:

Based at Q APARTMENTS across London but may need to travel to other Q APARTMENTS locations globally as required reporting to Head of Global Revenue & Reservations. Shifts are organised in conjunction with the line Manager to ensure cover is provided at all times. Weekend working may be required and the nature of the role will require a high degree of flexibility.
