Calling all budding architects and design appreciators, Open House London - the capital’s largest festival of architecture and design - is approaching! This annual event takes place this September the 19th and 20th.
The festival aims to promote and draw the public’s attention to the city’s buildings and architecture. The intention of the festival is to open up the great buildings of London that the general public otherwise would not have access to. The buildings on view range from historic sites to private homes, government buildings and many others. By giving the general public access to these buildings, the festival aims to increase the publics’ knowledge, appreciation and dialogue on architecture.
Some new additions to the building lineup from last year included The Leadenhall Building, otherwise known as the Cheesegrater, a very impressive group of re-purposed sheds in Tufnell Park, with more to be added this year! The vast majority will be open to the public on a walk in basis but a handful will require advance booking, for more details on this special event please click here, for highlights on the event click here.
